
You can opt to password-protect the App Center, and enable or disable the buy button for when your kid is browsing apps. While in the Profile Manager, parents have a small set of options for controlling what type of content their children can use. The Ultra is intended for kids ages 4 through 9, and several of its apps will be tailored to your child's age and education level.

You can make up to three accounts for your little ones in the Profile Manager, which asks for your kid's name, school grade, birthday and gender.

To get the LeapPad Ultra up and running, parents need to simply connect it to a Wi-Fi network, enter a location and create a four-digit password. The vocals of the included educational tune, "Punc, Punc, Punctuation," were crisp and full, but the backing instruments sounded a bit flat.
